AGAR TIDAK LAGI BERSELUBUNG KABUT ASAP Membangun Karakter Ramah Lingkungan Pada Komunitas Belajar Anak Usia Sekolah Melalui Pendekatan Behavioritik

Abstrak: Kabut asap yang meresahkan masyarakat hampir di tiap tahunnya, akibat pembakaran hutan dan lahan yang muncul sebagai konsekuensi dari human error, mengisyaratkan tentang betapa signifikannya komunitas-komunitas belajar pada hari ini dapat menyumbangkan perannya dalam membangun karakter ramah lingkungan. Disebut demikian, karena komunitas-komunitas belajar yang ada sekarang, sejauh ini masih belum cukup optimal dalam mengembangkan karakter ramah lingkungan, sementara tuntutan dan tantangan yang dihadapi generasi saat ini dalam kehidupan masa depan khususnya yang berkaitan dengan krisis lingkungan disadari akan sangat komplek. Era globalisasi yang disebut-sebut mendukung industrialisasi, sulit memungkiri ikut bertanggung jawab pada terjadinya eksploitasi alam besar-besaran. Karena itu, jika generasi saat ini tidak dibangun karakter ramah lingkungannya sejak sekarang, sebagai pelaku-pelaku industri di masa depan, maka dapat diramalkan kasus-kasus karhutla dan berbagai bentuk kasus pengrusakan lingkungan lainnya sangat mungkin berulang dan makin parah. Dalam membangun karakter ramah lingkungan ini, pendidik di komunitas-komunitas belajar dapat mempertimbangkan pendekatan behavioristik yang dapat mereka aktualisasikan dalam pembelajaran. Inilah yang menjadi fokus dari artikel ini.

Abstract: The haze that is disturbing the community almost every year, due to the burning of forests and land which arises as a consequence of human error indicates how significant learning communities today can contribute to their role in building eco-friendly character. It’s because the learning communities are still not optimal enough in developing eco-friendly character, while the demands and challenges faced by the generation now in the future life especially those related to environmental crises are realized to be very complex. The era of globalization which supports industrialization, it is difficult to deny taking responsibility for the occurrence of massive natural exploitation. Therefore, if the generation is not built eco-friendly character from now, as industry players in the future, it can be predicted that the cases of forest and land fire and various other forms of environmental destruction are very likely to recur and get worse. In building this eco-friendly character, educators on learning communities can consider a behavioristic approach that they can actualize in learning. This is the focus of this article.
