Perkembangan teknologi sedemikian pesatnya dalam dekade ini. Mobile-phone sudah sedemikian canggihnya sehingga memiliki multi-fungsi dari sekedar sarana komunikasi. Pemanfaatan mobile-phone guna merekam, mendokumentasikan serta menyebarluaskan fenomena sosial keseharian terutama kearifan lokal sangatlah mudah untuk dilakukan pada saat ini. Sosialisasi dan kesadaran bagi pemanfaatan tersebut sangat menunjang kegiatan perpustakaan dalam melakukan proses tersebut.
