Peer Review Proses

1. Manuscript Submission
The author uploads the manuscript through the OJS portal. At this stage, the manuscript enters the submission queue to be checked for completeness by the Editor.

2. Initial Screening (Internal Review)
The Editor examines whether the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and follows the author guidelines.

  • If suitable: The Editor moves the manuscript to the review stage.

  • If not: The manuscript may be directly rejected (desk reject).

3. Reviewer Assignment
The Editor searches for and selects experts relevant to the manuscript’s field. In OJS, the Editor can view the reviewers’ workload before sending invitations. Reviewers have the option to accept or decline the invitation.

4. Reviewing Process
After accepting the invitation, reviewers download the manuscript (typically anonymized for a double-blind review). They provide comments and evaluations through the review form available in the OJS system.

5. Reviewer Recommendations
After evaluating the manuscript, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept Submission: Accepted without revision.

  • Revisions Required: Minor revisions are needed.

  • Resubmit for Review: Major revisions are required and the manuscript must be reviewed again.

  • Decline Submission: Rejected.

6. Editorial Decision
The Editor summarizes the feedback from all reviewers (usually at least two) and makes the final decision. The author will receive an automatic notification from the system regarding the manuscript status.

7. Revision and Production
If revisions are required, the author uploads the revised version to OJS. Once the Editor determines that the manuscript meets the required standards, it is moved to the copyediting and production stages for online publication.
