Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Indonesian Language Education and Literature must be

  1. Written in Indonesian or English.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 15 pages and no more than 20 pages.
  3. Use of a tool such as Mendeley for reference management and formatting, and choose APA style.
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the ILEaL paper template.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present following the structure:

  1. Title. The title of the paper is maxed 12 words, without an Acronym or abbreviation
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has a maximum of 250 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes, results, and conclusions.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion - Conclusion
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 40 references primarily with a minimum of 90% to journal papers.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

An author who publishes in Indonesian Language Education and Literature agrees to the following terms:
  • The journal retains the copyright of the work and publishes it under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY), which permits others to share, adapt, and use the work with proper acknowledgment of the authorship and initial publication in this journal. 
  • The author is able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book) with the acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  • The author is permitted and encouraged to post his/her work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of the published work.
