Equalita: Jurnal Studi Gender dan Anak is published twice a year and accepts manuscripts written in either Indonesian or English. The journal focuses on scholarly studies and contemporary issues related to gender and children. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and integrity.

Upon submission, the Editorial Team conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript:

  • Fits the journal's focus and scope;
  • Complies with the Author Guidelines and publication ethics;
  • Demonstrates scientific merit, originality, and novelty; and
  • Is free from plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin to assess similarity before proceeding to the review stage.

Eligible manuscripts are then reviewed by at least two independent expert reviewers through a double-blind peer review system, where neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal, and ethical standards. They also provide constructive recommendations for improvement.

Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the Editor may decide to:

  • Accept the manuscript without revision;
  • Accept with minor revisions;
  • Request major revisions and resubmission for further review; or
  • Reject the manuscript.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision after considering the reviewers' evaluations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, the order of acceptance, thematic relevance, and the geographical diversity of contributing authors.

Bahasa Indonesia

Equalita: Jurnal Studi Gender dan Anak diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun dan menerima naskah dalam bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa Inggris. Jurnal ini berfokus pada kajian ilmiah dan isu-isu kontemporer mengenai gender dan anak. Setiap naskah yang dikirimkan akan melalui proses double-blind peer review untuk menjamin kualitas akademik, orisinalitas, dan integritas ilmiah.

Pada tahap awal, Tim Editor melakukan evaluasi terhadap setiap naskah untuk memastikan bahwa naskah:

  • Sesuai dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal;
  • Memenuhi ketentuan dalam Pedoman Penulis serta etika publikasi;
  • Memiliki kebaruan (novelty) dan kontribusi ilmiah yang memadai; serta
  • Bebas dari unsur plagiarisme.

Seluruh naskah akan diperiksa tingkat kemiripannya menggunakan Turnitin sebelum memasuki tahap penelaahan.

Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal selanjutnya ditelaah oleh sekurang-kurangnya dua orang reviewer independen melalui sistem double-blind peer review, di mana identitas penulis maupun reviewer dirahasiakan. Reviewer menilai orisinalitas, metodologi, kontribusi teoritis, kejelasan penyajian, kesesuaian dengan fokus jurnal, serta kepatuhan terhadap etika penelitian. Reviewer juga memberikan masukan yang bersifat konstruktif untuk meningkatkan kualitas naskah.

Berdasarkan hasil penelaahan reviewer, Editor dapat mengambil salah satu keputusan berikut:

  • Diterima tanpa revisi;
  • Diterima dengan revisi minor;
  • Direvisi mayor dan dikirim kembali untuk ditelaah ulang; atau
  • Ditolak.

Keputusan akhir mengenai penerimaan dan publikasi artikel ditetapkan oleh Editor in Chief dengan mempertimbangkan rekomendasi reviewer, kualitas ilmiah naskah, urutan penerimaan artikel, relevansi tema, serta keberagaman geografis penulis.
