Abstract

This study aims to describe the elements of characters, roles, characters, motives, events, conflicts, plots, background, space, cultivation language, themes, and the mandate contained in the drama script of Raja Galau. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The results show that this drama script has ten symbolic figures. The characters have their own roles and characters. The groove used is the forward flow. The background of the drama consists of place, time, atmosphere, and social. The language used is easy to understand. This drama script is themed about a wise King and uphold justice. The mandate that can be taken from this drama script is: a) do not seize the property of others by any means, b) do not involve and in the name of the people for personal gain, c) do not accuse and suspect others without any evidence; ) do not hold a grudge against others, and e) do not be a sycophant to gain position and position. This drama script is easy to understand and contains a message that is suitable for daily life so it can be used as a teaching material for drama appreciation.

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur tokoh, peran, karakter, motif, peristiwa, konflik, alur, latar, ruang, penggarapan bahasa, tema, dan amanat yang terdapat dalam naskah drama Raja Galau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa naskah drama ini memiliki sepuluh tokoh simbolis. Tokoh-tokoh tersebut memiliki peran dan karakternya masing-masing. Alur yang digunakan adalah alur maju. Latar drama terdiri atas tempat, waktu, suasana, dan sosial. Bahasa yang digunakan mudah dipahami. Naskah drama ini bertema tentang Raja yang bijaksana dan menjunjung keadilan. Amanat yang dapat diambil dari naskah drama ini adalah: a) janganlah merebut hak milik orang lain dengan menggunakan segala cara, b) janganlah melibatkan dan mengatasnamakan rakyat untuk kepentingan pribadi, c) janganlah menuduh dan menaruh curiga terhadap orang lain tanpa ada barang bukti, d) janganlah menyimpan dendam terhadap orang lain, serta e) janganlah menjadi penjilat demi meraih kedudukan dan jabatan. Naskah drama ini mudah dipahami dan mengandung amanat yang sesuai dengan kehidupan sehar-hari sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar apresiasi drama.
