Author Guidelines

The Editorial Team of Al-Tarbawi Al-Haditsah: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam invites authors to submit their scientific articles in accordance with the following guidelines:

Articles must not have been previously published, accepted for publication, or be under consideration elsewhere. Authors must also attach a written statement declaring that the manuscript is original and free from plagiarism.

The types of articles accepted for publication include research reports (laboratory, field, or archival research), conceptual papers, scholarly studies, and applications of theory.

Articles are preferably written in English, Arabic, or Bahasa Indonesia using academic language and standard scholarly writing conventions. Manuscripts should be typed in 1.5 spacing on A4 paper, with a length of 5,000–7,000 words including references, tables, and figures.

Article Structure

Articles should be written in essay format and include:

  • Title (15–20 words)
  • Author’s Name (without academic degree), institutional affiliation, and email address
  • Abstract (150–200 words), including research problem, methods, and results
  • Keywords (3–5 words)
  • Introduction (2–3 pages, without subheadings), including background, objectives, methods, and relevant literature review or theoretical framework; ends with a clear statement of the discussion focus
  • Discussion (presents research findings and analysis, may include sub-sections)
  • Conclusion (brief summary of findings; avoid repetition of previous sections)
  • References

References

The reference list must follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition. Only cited works should be included. References must be arranged alphabetically and chronologically.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or similar applications.

Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles previously published in Al-Tarbawi Al-Haditsah: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam.

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format through the Online Submission system.

Online Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online system:

  1. Authors must register as an Author (or Reviewer) via the “Register” page.
  2. After registration, log in and click “New Submission.”
  3. The submission process consists of five steps:
    • Start
    • Upload Submission
    • Enter Metadata
    • Upload Supplementary Files
    • Confirmation
  4. In the Start step, select “Full Article” and complete all checklists.
  5. In Upload Submission, upload the manuscript in MS Word format.
  6. In Enter Metadata, complete all author information, title, abstract, and keywords.
  7. In Upload Supplementary Files, upload supporting documents if necessary.
  8. In Confirmation, review all data and click “Finish Submission.”

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submission, ensure that:

  • The manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  • The file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • URLs for references are provided where available.
  • The text uses 12-point font, 1.5 spacing, and italics instead of underlining (except URLs).
  • Figures and tables are placed within the text at appropriate points.
  • The manuscript follows the journal’s formatting and referencing guidelines.
  • The plagiarism similarity index is below 20%.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
  • The work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  • Authors may enter into additional non-exclusive distribution agreements.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their work online (e.g., institutional repositories or personal websites) before and during the submission process.
