Publication Ethics
Al-Tarbawi Al-Haditsah: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1. Ethical Guidelines for Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Originality and Plagiarism
Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. - Multiple or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. - Acknowledgment of Sources
All sources of data and references must be properly cited. - Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research. - Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared to retain such data. - Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest. - Fundamental Errors in Published Works
Authors are obliged to promptly notify the editor if a significant error is discovered.
2. Ethical Guidelines for Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Publication Decisions
Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on their academic merit. - Fair Play
Manuscripts are evaluated without regard to race, gender, religion, or political beliefs of the authors. - Confidentiality
Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript. - Conflict of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials for their own research.
3. Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
Reviewers should:
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Assist editors in making editorial decisions. - Confidentiality
Treat manuscripts as confidential documents. - Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively and constructively. - Acknowledgment of Sources
Identify relevant work not cited by the authors. - Conflict of Interest
Decline review if there is a conflict of interest.
4. Duties of the Publisher
The publisher ensures that:
- Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are independent of commercial interests. - Integrity of Academic Record
The publisher safeguards the integrity of the academic record. - Support for Ethical Oversight
The publisher supports communication with other journals if needed.
5. Publication Misconduct
The journal takes all forms of publication misconduct seriously, including:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate publication
- Citation manipulation
Any misconduct will be handled according to COPE guidelines, including retraction if necessary.
6. Screening for Plagiarism
All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high similarity index will be rejected or returned for revision.
7. Corrections and Retractions
The journal is committed to correcting errors and retracting articles when necessary to maintain academic integrity.
