Author Guidelines

Submitted articles must meet the following criteria:

  1. Is an original scientific work that discusses academic topics in the field of Arabic.
  2. Has never been published and is not under review in other journals.
  3. Can be the result of research, surveys, or book reviews.
  4. Written in English, Arabic, or Indonesian.
  5. Typed using Cambria font, size 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, on A4 paper.
  6. The length of the article is around 38,000–40,000 characters (without spaces).
  7. The writing structure must follow the order: title, author's name, abstract, keywords, article content, and bibliography.
  8. The title is written in English, short and concise, maximum 12 words.
  9. The abstract must be written in three languages (English, Indonesian, and Arabic), containing a summary of the article covering the background, methods, and conclusions, with a length of between 150–250 words.
  10. Keywords consist of 4 to 8 words.
  11. Articles follow the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion).
  12. References and citations are written in accordance with the APA 7th Edition style, using Mendeley or Zotero.
  13. Articles must include the full name of the author according to the journal template.
  14. Articles are sent in soft copy via email to: ibtikarsyekhnurjati@gmail.com by attaching the file as an attachment.
  15. The editor has the right to edit the manuscript without changing the substance of the content.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Submission files are in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced, in 12-point font, and italics rather than underlining (except for URLs). All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed directly within the text in relevant positions, not at the end of the document.
  • The text adheres to the style and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed journal section, the instructions in Ensuring Blind Review have been followed.
