Focus and Scope

El Ibtikar: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab (P-ISSN: 2303-260X; E-ISSN: 2579-8456) is a high-quality open-access peer-reviewed research journal published by UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Indonesia.

The journal aims to provide an international forum for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to share innovative ideas and significant research findings in the field of Arabic language education and linguistics. El Ibtikar focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL).

Section Policies

The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and critical analyzes that contribute to the following areas:

I. Arabic Pedagogical Innovation

  • Methodology & Strategies: Development of innovative teaching methods and learning strategies specifically designed for non-native Arabic speakers.

  • Instructional Design: Curriculum development, syllabus design, and the creation of adaptive instructional materials.

  • Teaching Models: Conceptual and empirical models for optimizing Arabic language acquisition in various educational contexts.

II. Linguistics and Competency

  • Theoretical Linguistics: In-depth studies of Arabic morphology (Sarf), syntax (Nahwu), and general Arabic linguistics.

  • Language Competencies: Research on the four pillars of language proficiency: Listening (Istima'), Speaking (Kalam), Reading (Qira'ah), and Writing (Kitabah).

  • Literary Studies: Analysis of Arabic literature and its integration into the educational framework.

III. Educational Technology & Evaluation

  • Technology Integration: Utilization of Digital Learning, AI-assisted language learning, and instructional media in Arabic classrooms.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Comprehensive studies on measuring Arabic language proficiency and the effectiveness of teaching programs.

    Peer Review Process

    All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process. Each paper is evaluated by at least three independent experts in the field to ensure technical soundness, originality, and academic integrity.

    Publication Frequency

    El Ibtikar: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab is published twice a year in June and December.
