The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, students, and practitioners to disseminate original research and innovative scholarly ideas. Its ownership and management structure supports academic integrity, editorial independence, transparency, and the sustainability of scholarly publishing.
1. Journal Ownership
ORASI: Jurnal Dakwah dan Komunikasi is published by the Faculty of Da'wah and Islamic Communication, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Indonesia.
The journal develops its academic publishing activities through collaboration with professional and scholarly organizations, including ASKOPIS and APDI, as part of its commitment to advancing da'wah and communication scholarship.
The institutional owner provides the organizational framework for the journal's operation and supports its mission to promote high-quality scholarly communication. Ownership does not replace the editorial team's responsibility for making independent academic decisions.
2. Journal Management
ORASI is managed through an editorial and administrative structure designed to maintain the quality, consistency, and integrity of the publication process. Responsibilities are distributed according to the roles assigned within the journal's organizational structure.
3. Editorial Independence
ORASI maintains editorial independence in the assessment and selection of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based on academic quality, originality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, methodological rigor, and compliance with publication ethics.
The journal's owner, publisher, sponsors, institutional partners, and other external parties must not improperly influence the acceptance, rejection, or revision of individual manuscripts. Editorial decisions must not be determined by personal relationships, institutional affiliations, financial considerations, or external pressure.
Academic integrity and the quality of scholarly contributions take precedence over non-academic interests in editorial decision-making.
4. Responsibilities of the Owner and Management
The institutional owner and journal management have complementary responsibilities in ensuring the continuity and credibility of ORASI. Their responsibilities include:
5. Transparency and Accountability
ORASI is committed to transparent journal governance and responsible management. Information regarding the journal's ownership, publisher, editorial team, publication policies, peer-review procedures, and publication schedule should be made accessible through the journal website.
The editorial team is responsible for applying the journal's policies consistently, protecting confidential information obtained during manuscript evaluation, addressing potential conflicts of interest, and responding appropriately to concerns relating to publication ethics.
Any concerns regarding journal management or editorial conduct may be submitted to the appropriate editorial or institutional authority for consideration in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.
