Al-Tarbawi Al-Haditsah: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam requires authors to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments to ensure the quality and academic integrity of published articles.
1. General Principles
Authors are expected to:
- Revise the manuscript carefully and thoroughly based on all reviewer and editor comments
- Maintain academic integrity and clarity in all revisions
- Ensure that revisions improve the quality, readability, and contribution of the manuscript
2. Revision Procedure
Authors should follow these steps when revising their manuscript:

Review all feedback from reviewers and editors before making revisions. - Revise the Manuscript
Make necessary changes in the manuscript, including content, structure, language, and references. - Highlight Changes
Clearly indicate all revisions in the manuscript (using track changes, highlights, or colored text). - Prepare a Response to Reviewers
Provide a detailed response to each reviewer comment in a separate document. - Resubmit the Revised Manuscript
Upload the revised file along with the response document through the journal submission system.
3. Response to Reviewers
Authors must prepare a Response to Reviewers document that includes:
- A point-by-point response to each comment
- Clear indication of where changes have been made
- Justification if certain suggestions are not followed
Example:
Reviewer Comment:
“The introduction lacks recent references.”
Author Response:
“Thank you for the suggestion. We have added recent references (2020–2024) in the introduction section (page 2, paragraph 2).”
4. Types of Revision Decisions
Authors may receive one of the following decisions:
- Minor Revision → small improvements required; usually no major structural changes
- Major Revision → substantial revisions required (theory, method, analysis, or structure)
- Resubmit for Review → revised manuscript will undergo another round of review
5. Time for Revision
- Minor revision: 1–2 weeks
- Major revision: 2–4 weeks
Authors should submit revisions within the given deadline. If more time is needed, authors must contact the editorial team.
6. Important Notes
- Authors must not ignore reviewer comments
- All revisions must be clearly indicated
- The manuscript must remain within the journal’s scope and guidelines
- Plagiarism similarity must remain below 20% after revision
7. Final Evaluation
The revised manuscript will be evaluated by the editor and/or reviewers to determine whether:
- The manuscript is accepted
- Further revision is required
- The manuscript is rejected
