About the Journal

Research and Practice of Educational Chemistry (RESPEC) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Tadris Kimia, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Indonesia. The journal was first published in 2022 and is issued biannually in June and December.

RESPEC provides an academic forum for the dissemination of original research articles, development studies, theoretical analyses, and scholarly ideas in the field of chemistry education. The journal aims to bridge educational theory and classroom practice by promoting research-based innovations and evidence-informed teaching practices in chemistry learning.

Aims and Scope

The journal welcomes contributions related to, but not limited to:

  • chemistry teaching and learning strategies

  • curriculum and instructional design in chemistry education

  • assessment and evaluation in chemistry learning

  • laboratory learning and practical work in chemistry education

  • development of teaching media, learning resources, and learning technologies

  • student misconceptions and conceptual understanding in chemistry

RESPEC is intended for researchers, lecturers, teachers, graduate students, practitioners, and observers in the area of chemistry education and science education.
