Author Guidelines

Before submitting a manuscript to Research and Practice of Educational Chemistry (RESPEC), authors must ensure that their manuscript meets the following requirements:

  • The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published or is not currently under review by another journal.
  • The manuscript is written in proper Indonesian or English and uses one language consistently throughout the article.
  • The manuscript is prepared using the official RESPEC article template.
  • The manuscript is submitted in .doc or .docx format.
  • The manuscript follows the required structure: Title, Author Names and Affiliations, Abstract in Indonesian and English, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments if any, and References.
  • The manuscript uses APA Style 7th edition for in-text citations and references.
  • The manuscript has a similarity index below 20%, as checked using Turnitin or other similarity detection software.
  • The manuscript is relevant to the focus and scope of RESPEC, including chemistry education, chemistry teaching and learning, pure and applied chemistry, or interdisciplinary research related to chemistry and chemistry education.
  • All authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under review by another journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • The manuscript uses the official RESPEC template and follows the required formatting, structure, citation style, and reference guidelines.
  • The manuscript is relevant to the focus and scope of RESPEC.
  • All authors have agreed to the submission, the order of authorship, and the publication ethics of the journal.
  • The manuscript has a similarity index below 20%, and references include URLs or DOIs where available.
