Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

EduMa: Mathematics Education Learning and Teaching utilizes an online submission platform. This system enables authors to track the progress of their manuscript submissions and expedite the article processing time. Authors are required to strictly adhere to the guidelines outlined below. Please note that manuscripts failing to comply with these guidelines or the specified format may be returned or declined prior to review.

1. General Submission Procedures

  • Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal website: https://syekhnurjati.ac.id/jurnal/index.php/eduma/index

  • Registration: First-time users must register as an Author. Click the "Register" button at the top of the page and fill in the required information.

  • Logging In: After registration, use your username and password to log in via the "Login" button. Select the "Author" role to submit your manuscript and track its status.

  • Peer Review: Information regarding the peer-review process can be viewed [here].

2. Pre-requisites & Policies

  • Originality: The article must be original, not previously published, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Scope: Articles must be the result of research or conceptual study in the field of mathematics education.

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian.

  • Similarity Check: Every submitted manuscript will be screened using Turnitin. The similarity index must be below 20%.

Manuscript Formatting & Structure

Authors are strongly advised to use the Article Template provided by EduMa to ensure compliance with formatting rules.

A. Technical Specifications

  • Font Type: Century Schoolbook (unless otherwise specified).

  • Citation Style: APA (American Psychological Association) Style. The use of reference management software (such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) is highly recommended.

B. Article Structure

1. Article Title

  • Format: Capitalize Each Word (Title Case); Font size 14, Bold.

  • Content: Concise and descriptive.

2. Author Information

  • Name: Author names should be listed without academic degrees; Font size 12.

  • Affiliation: Institution/University, Department, and Country; Font size 8.

  • Corresponding Author: Include Mailing Address (City, Province, Postal Code, Country) and Email address (e.g., email@provider.com); Font: Times New Roman, size 8.

3. Abstract

  • Format: Single paragraph; Font size 9.

  • Language: Must be in English.

  • Quality: Must be a high-quality translation; do not use direct copy-paste from automated translator applications (e.g., Google Translate).

  • Length: Maximum 250 words.

  • Content: Must explicitly include Background, Purpose, Methodology, Results, and Conclusions.

4. Keywords

  • Format: List 1–5 keywords, separated by commas; Font size 9.

5. Article Citation (Header)

  • Format: Last Name, A., & Last Name, B. (Year). Title of Article. Journal Title, Volume(Issue), Page Range. doi:http://dx.doi.org/xxxx

  • Font: Size 8.

6. Article History

  • Format: Received: [Date] | Accepted: [Date] | Published: [Date]

  • Font: Size 8.

7. Copyright Notice

  • EduMa: Mathematics Education Learning and Teaching, Copyright © [Year] by Author(s). This article is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

C. Content Framework (Main Body)

1. Introduction

  • Font: Size 11, Spacing 1.

  • Provide background context, problem statement, and objectives.

2. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework (If applicable)

  • Font: Size 11, Spacing 1.

3. Methods

  • Font: Size 11, Spacing 1.

  • Content: Clearly describe the Research Design, Population and Sample, Site/Participants, Data Collection, and Data Analysis procedures. Include a framework flow if necessary.

4. Results and Discussion

  • Font: Size 11, Spacing 1.

  • Findings: Present findings systematically. Use supporting quotations, examples, tables, and diagrams.

  • Discussion: Describe test results and data analysis interpretation.

  • Figures and Tables: Must be numbered consecutively and provided with detailed legends/captions. Tables should use single spacing, font size 11.

5. Conclusion and Implication

  • Font: Size 11, Spacing 1.

  • Conclusion: Summarize key findings concisely.

  • Implication: Discuss theoretical and practical significance and suggest directions for further research.

6. Disclosure Statement

  • Provide a conflict of interest statement (if any).

7. Acknowledgments

  • Acknowledge contributions from institutions or individuals. Avoid identifying the authors in this section prior to the peer-review process (blind review).

8. References

  • Strictly follow the APA Style. Ensure that all citations in the text match the references listed.

Note: Please ensure compliance with font, spacing, and citation format throughout the manuscript. Manuscripts not adhering to these guidelines may be returned for correction before review. For a more detailed layout, please check the Article Template.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses Century Schoolbook 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines and strictly follows the EduMa Article Template (including APA Citation Style), which are found in the About the Journal section.
  • The manuscript has been prepared strictly following the EduMa Article Template, including full author details (Name, Affiliation, and Email). The author acknowledges that EduMa employs a Single-Blind Peer Review policy: reviewers will be aware of the author's identity, but the reviewer's identity will remain anonymous to the author.
