Author Fees

Jurnal Studi Hadis Nusantara (JSHN) applies transparent author-fee policies to support the management, review, and publication of scholarly manuscripts.

The journal does not charge authors an Article Submission Fee. However, an Article Publication Fee may apply to manuscripts accepted for publication. The journal also provides an optional Fast-Track Review service subject to the applicable fee and editorial conditions.

The following fees apply:

1. Article Submission Fee

Article Submission: 0.00 IDR

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee when submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Studi Hadis Nusantara.

Submission through the journal's official OJS platform is free of charge. Authors may submit manuscripts without making any payment at the initial submission stage.

The absence of a submission fee does not affect the editorial assessment or peer-review process. All manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal's established editorial and peer-review policies.

2. Fast-Track Review Fee

Fast-Track Review: 1,000,000 IDR

Jurnal Studi Hadis Nusantara provides an optional Fast-Track Review service for authors who request accelerated processing of their manuscripts.

For manuscripts submitted under the Fast-Track Review service, the journal aims to complete the review, editorial decision, and author notification process within four (4) weeks, subject to reviewer availability, manuscript quality, author responsiveness, and the complexity of the review process.

Payment of the Fast-Track Review Fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript.

Fast-Track Review does not alter the journal's academic evaluation standards, peer-review requirements, editorial independence, or publication-ethics policies.

The fee applies only to the accelerated processing service and does not constitute a payment for acceptance or favorable editorial treatment.

3. Article Publication Fee

Article Publication: 500,000 IDR

If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) may be required to pay an Article Publication Fee of IDR 500,000.

The publication fee contributes to the costs associated with the journal's publication and scholarly communication activities, including electronic publishing, editorial administration, production, and maintenance of the journal's publishing infrastructure.

Payment of the Article Publication Fee is requested only after the manuscript has received an editorial acceptance decision.

The publication fee has no influence on the editorial decision to accept or reject a manuscript.

4. Fee Waiver

Jurnal Studi Hadis Nusantara recognizes that authors may have limited financial resources to cover publication-related costs.

Authors who are unable to pay the applicable fee may request a fee waiver from the editorial office.

Fee-waiver requests should be submitted to the editorial office and may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The inability to pay an applicable fee should not prevent the editorial team from considering a manuscript on the basis of its academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and compliance with the journal's editorial policies.

5. Transparency and Editorial Independence

All author fees are disclosed transparently through the journal's official publishing platform.

Payment of any journal fee does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance of a manuscript;

  • Positive peer-review results;

  • Favorable editorial decisions;

  • Waiver of methodological or ethical requirements; or

  • Priority in publication solely on the basis of payment.

Editorial decisions are made independently based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's scope, methodological quality, originality, and compliance with publication ethics.

Fast-Track Review is an accelerated editorial service and must not be interpreted as a mechanism for purchasing acceptance or bypassing the journal's peer-review process.

7. Payment and Administrative Procedures

Authors should not make any payment unless instructed through the journal's official editorial or administrative channels.

Payment instructions, where applicable, should be provided by the journal after the relevant editorial stage has been completed.

Authors are advised to retain appropriate payment documentation for administrative and verification purposes.

Any change to the journal's author-fee structure will be communicated through the official Jurnal Studi Hadis Nusantara OJS platform.
